Drift is a relatively new field in motorsport and the only motorsport discipline where the result is not determined by time, but by the points awarded by the judges. Drift competitions take place all over the world and are judged on the speed, angle, showmanship and driving line taken according to the corner or set of turns. As a sport, drifting started in Japan in the 1970s.
Oliver Randalu started racing in 2017 and since then StabilRoad has been his main sponsor. When drifting, the road must be uniformly stable, durable, perfectly leveled and without holes, which is exactly what StabilRoad specializes in. StabilRoad® technology enables the construction of ideal, durable and long-lasting soils for the use of highways and other facilities that require stable subsurfaces.
“For me, Drift is full of adrenaline and spectacular competitive sport, where each driver expresses his driving style based on a specially built competition vehicle,” says Oliver Randalu and continues: “I work on myself and the car to be better and more competitive every year. My goal is to reach drift to the top of the European championship and get on the podium.”
