StabilRoad®’s vision to build a new India is an unwavering commitment

StabilRoad®’s vision to build a new India is an unwavering commitment to a sustainable environment. In India, on the Yadavalli-Kondang road section, Vishwa Samudra Engineering (exclusive partner of StabilRoad in India) presented eco-friendly road construction based on StabilRoad technology. The road construction demonstration was part of a two-day national program conducted by the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA) of the Ministry of Rural Development in collaboration with the Panchayath Raj Department. Government officials from various states participated in the demonstration to explore the technology and implement it in their state.

“Currently we are building the highest quality roads with StabilRoad technology in other states like Telagana, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar, UP and Bihar” said Mr.R.Rjasekharan, Vice President of the company.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands national highway extension

Andaman and Nicobar Islands national highway extension

In 2019, a new and ambitious national highway project was launched in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. The aim of the project was to improve traffic safety and road durability, especially given the islands’ harsh climate and monsoon seasons, which bring intense rainfall and difficult weather conditions. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are known for their beautiful yet challenging landscape. The area’s road infrastructure is vital to the development of the local community and tourism.

The project used StabilRoad® technology, which was used to widen a road approximately 55 kilometers long and 5.5 meters wide. The first road section was completed in 2019, after which extensive testing and monitoring was carried out. The results of the testing were very positive, so it was decided to complete the construction of the entire road using the StabilRoad® method. The project was completed by March 2021.

The widening of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands National Highway was a successful project that demonstrated the benefits of using StabilRoad® technology. Thanks to StabilRoad® technology, the national road of the islands is now stronger and more durable, offering a safe and comfortable traffic option for the residents and visitors of the islands.

Stabilization and asphalting of Kerala national highway

Stabilization and asphalting of Kerala national highway

In March 2018, extensive renovation work was carried out on the national highway in the Kerala region. The main goal of the project was to improve the quality of roads and extend their service life by applying environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies. Kerala is also known for its harsh weather conditions, including heavy rains and hot temperatures. These conditions significantly affect the quality and durability of roads.

During the project, the existing pavement material was stabilized and reused. The project focused on reusing existing material to improve the road’s durability and quality. This process involved thoroughly mixing and stabilizing the existing pavement using the StabilRoad® method to create a strong and durable base. The stabilized area was then covered with a new layer of asphalt, which ensured the long-term durability and quality of the road surface.

The stabilization and asphalting of the Kerala National Highway was a successful project that demonstrated the benefits of using StabilRoad® technology. Thanks to StabilRoad® technology, the Kerala road is now significantly more durable and in a better condition, providing a safe and comfortable traffic option for local residents and visitors.

Stabilization and asphalting of Krishnapatnam harbor areas

Stabilization and asphalting of Krishnapatnam harbor areas

In February 2017, extensive road works were carried out at the Port of Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to stabilize and asphalt the access roads between the HGV parking lot. The aim of the project was to improve the durability and ease of use of the roads in order to ensure smooth and safe traffic in the port territory. Krishnapatnam Port is one of the largest and most important ports in India, handling thousands of heavy goods vehicles every day. The quality and durability of port access roads is critical as these roads must withstand extreme loads.

The project used StabilRoad® technology, which stabilized the existing soil and then covered it with a 5 cm thick layer of asphalt. For stabilization and mixing, only the soil found in the port area was used, including loamy sand and clayey crushed stone. This approach ensured that the materials needed for the road works were easily available and environmentally friendly.

The stabilization and asphalting of Krishnapatnam harbor areas was a successful project that demonstrated the benefits of using StabilRoad® technology. Thanks to StabilRoad® technology, the access roads are now significantly stronger and more durable, offering safe and comfortable traffic in the port.

Construction of a technical highway in the Krasnodar region for heavy cargo

Construction of a technical highway in the Krasnodar region for heavy cargo

In July 2015, an ambitious road project was started in Krasnodar Krai, the purpose of which was to build a technical road for extremely heavy goods for the construction of the Kerch bridge. This project was an important step in the development of the region’s infrastructure, providing the necessary infrastructure for the transportation of large and heavy construction materials.

During the project, a road about 40 kilometers long and 12 meters wide was widened. In order for the road to be able to withstand the movement of heavy loads, the existing road surface material (fine clay sand) was stabilized with cement and StabilRoad® additive. The thickness of the stabilized layer was 40 cm, which ensured sufficient stability and strength of the road. This was especially important considering the purpose of the road for transporting extremely heavy goods during the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

The construction of the technical road in the Krasnodar region was an important step in the development of the region’s infrastructure, providing a strong and durable road for the transportation of goods necessary for the construction of the Kerch bridge. The successful completion of the project proved the efficiency and durability of StabilRoad® technology for large and complex construction projects. Thanks to the successful implementation of the StabilRoad® method, the road is now much more durable and user-friendly, showing how environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions can significantly improve the quality and durability of infrastructure.
