StabilRoad® stabilization additive is a whitish powder made from 100% natural minerals with no synthetic chemicals. The chemical effect of the stabilization additive consists in increasing the hydration processes of the cement. Cement hydration is a chemical process in which cement particles react with water to form new bonded compounds that make up the skeleton of concrete. As a result of crystallization, water-insoluble compounds are formed, which make the treated layer non-absorbent. By increasing the hydration of the cement, the number of cracks decreases, the elasticity, compressive and tensile strength of the stabilized surface increases, and the material becomes water and cold resistant. It is possible to stabilize both the base layers of the soil and the lower layers. The surface is also no longer damaged by salts, oils and acids.
The properties of a surface stabilized with StabilRoad® stabilization additive can be compared to concrete. Such properties give the processed layer good prerequisites for longer-term resistance even in a humid location.
By using StabilRoad® stabilization additive in the appropriate ratio with the amount of cement, the risk of cracking is significantly reduced. Soils treated only with cement become very stiff and the risk of cracking of these surfaces is very high.
